They can even help you get that special someone. These skills can be used to persuade people to agree with your ideas and thoughts across a wide range of situations. Read on for more detail.
Learning Good Persuasion Techniques can Really Help you Get the Most out of Life.
You can persuade people into doing what you want them to do, and easily get others to get on board with your ideas. You simply can’t fail when you have mastered these techniques.
It’s been well researched by psychologists how truly effective persuasion can be. Even subtle small things in life can persuade others to do things your way, not just those expensive and elaborate advertisements you see on TV.
Looking at the most successful people, you’ll notice that they all have excellent
persuasion techniques, and use them to a day-
In the competitive world of today, good persuasion tactics will help you grow, and could sky rocket you to the top of your profession.
The usefulness of persuasion however doesn’t stop at work or indeed with age, race, occupation or gender. Anyone can harness these powers and use them in their everyday life.
What really sets out a bad persuader from a good persuader?
Appeal is a key aspect to any good persuasion; you need to convince people that you’re on their side, so that they’re comfortable to let you influence their opinions and thoughts. There’s no need for force tactics here. When you let people make decisions on their own, they feel empowered and better about themselves. Managing to convince people they have control is one key to powerful and effective persuasion.
Closing a sale, convincing a friend or simply just talking to people, these techniques can be put to good use. Practicing the techniques can lead to better all round communication with people, and subsequently an improvement in all of your relationships.
Beware though, even when you have learned the power of persuasion, you still don’t have the authority to mess people around. If you try to abuse these tactics, they’ll start to be less effective. One thing you need to keep telling yourself is to ‘be subtle’. As soon as someone detects that you are trying to use persuasion techniques, they won’t let you to persuade them into your way of thinking, and in fact they will more than likely go in the opposite direction to what you desired.
Depending on the relationship between the person you are trying to influence, and you, these techniques can have varying results. You should however be able to adapt your techniques to different situations. After a while, your new skills will become second nature. After you’ve successfully tried them out a number of times and in different situations, they’ll become almost automatic.
Before entering into conversation try to decide what you want from the person. Figure out a plan in advance and try building everything up around that plan in order to reach your goal.
Observe the person. Going in head first and not being subtle will lead to you failure, instead move gradually toward them both mentally and physically, casually and try to connect with them. Find out their emotions: Are in a good mood or bad? If they’re having a good day, you’ll have much more success talking to them and persuading them to your way of thinking.
Analyse your target. Get into his or her mind and explore their personality, their beliefs, hobbies, interests and more. You need to enter their mind and visualise things from their perspective. Try to imagine the world if you were that person; how would they react if I asked this; rehearse a few questions? What are their aspirations, fears, hopes and dreams?
Using this method, it allows you to become the person and figure out more effective ways to persuade them. You can sculpt your tactics and strategies in order to create a good persuasion plan that will work for them; it often has to be a unique and tailored approach drawing from a number of persuasion skills you have learned.
You should be able to spot if they naturally tend to come close to you or start pulling back, again both psychologically and physically. Trust me; this will really help you save time. Avoiding a small mistake in the early stages of approach can prevent a big disaster later on.
Usually persuasion methods fail when people try to assume that the person they wish to persuade is exactly like themselves. People often ignore the fact that every individual is unique and just because you find something enjoyable, doesn’t always mean others do too. We’re all different and respecting our differences help us persuade better, and avoid disagreements and arguments.
We are not easily persuaded by rational thought. Our brains may think logically, understand concepts, and intellectually know what’s right, but if you put something bad in front of us that emotionally makes us feel good then all that logic goes out the window.
With good persuasion skills, no more will you need to worry about saying the wrong things that will get people on their nerves, or feeling disappointed because you do not get the things you want (whether is it a promotion, pay rise, a date with someone, etc.
So why is it that some people have highly developed persuasion skills and other people can't even persuade themselves to do anything let alone others? Are persuaders "born" or "made" and do you know "how to persuade”?
It is possible to learn the skills of persuasion that others possess. Whilst the methods of persuasion are important in and of themselves, it is the ability to personally master persuasion techniques and methods that is going to enable you to achieve great success in your personal and professional life.
We all hold our own beliefs, norms and values. Even if yours differ from someone you’re talking to, respecting these beliefs are key in order to connect with and persuade people. It’s good to convince the other person you hold the same beliefs or care for them. There are many persuasion techniques that will help you do this.

Many people ask me if this type of psychological approach to persuading other people works.
Yes is the short answer. Not only does it work but it can be more powerful than many people consider. Persuasion techniques have been around for as long as mankind, and most techniques I’ve seen used and tested do work to some extent.
They should however be used only for the progression and development of both parties, and not for manipulation. There is nothing magical about persuasion techniques, its just that some people are more aware of them, and more skilled in their use than others.
Hypnosis is the art of hypnotizing and persuading people.
Using covert hypnosis you can plant suggestions in anyone, bring people into a trance state and make them do almost anything you say.
You've seen those stage hypnosis shows where people go around clucking like chickens!
Believe me, that's no act. Hypnosis can make people do almost anything, and outside of hypnosis shows it can be used in business, love and many other areas of life to achieve extremely powerful results.
